Intercomp LTR788 Dual Wheel Load Scale

The Intercomp LTR788 Dual Wheel Load Scale was created to directly measure tire weights in a dual tire configuration.* The fully-electronic, self-contained, low profile dual platform scale can be used alone, or alongside single-platform wheel load scales for commercial vehicle enforcement or inspection operations. A machined aluminum frame maximizes the tire rating scale’s life and reduces the overall weight to just 39 lb, making these scales ultra-portable for rapid roadside setup to acquire tire weights.

The LTR788 is currently the only tool available to enforce FMCSA Regulation 393.75. MCSAP Federal Funds can be used to purchase this tire rating inspection scale.

The LTR788 Dual Wheel Load Scale was created for direct measurement of individual tire loading in a dual-tire configuration. Until now, there was no method to accurately weigh the tires individually, with the current procedure being to weigh both tires and divide by two. The LTR788 enables service inspections of individual tire ratings and allows tire anomalies to be detected with a portable digital scale. Tire loading and tire conditions impact fuel economy and braking distance, and tire failure can lead to accidents and debris on roads.  The solar-powered, low-profile LTR788 is the ideal system for deployment in portable enforcement sites.
