Position Summary:
We are hiring a Metrology Technician in both Houston and San Antonio to perform field and in-lab calibrations of a wide range of test and measurement equipment. This is a hands-on role that combines technical skill with excellent customer service. If you’re experienced in calibration, electronics, or instrumentation, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Calibrate and troubleshoot measurement instruments (force, dimensional, multimeters, torque tools, pressure gauges, flow, temperature, etc.)
- Perform on-site and lab-based calibration services
- Document calibration results and ensure accuracy to national/international standards
- Collaborate with clients to meet service needs and maintain strong relationships
- Follow ISO/IEC 17025 quality and safety procedures
- Maintain and verify calibration standards and tools
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in calibration, metrology, or instrumentation (preferred)
- Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, engineering tech, or related field
- Familiarity with tools like oscilloscopes, temperature controllers, and multimeters
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- PMEL or TMDE military calibration experience a plus
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. and travel locally
