Food Donation to Minnie’s Food Pantry

Posted on April 7, 2020

Thanks to the generosity of our Dallas employees, 75 pounds of food were delivered to Minnie’s Food Pantry last week. They were very thankful for the donation with their supplies running low as they have partnered with Plano Independent School District to feed students during Covid-19. Daily they have over 700 families in need of a breakfast or lunch stopping by designated PISD facilities to receive a meal for the day.

Due to the increased need for families affected by the economic effects of Covid-19, Minnie’s Food Pantry has promised to assist these families by supplementing the additional meals, including dinner for those in need. The boxes will be prepared by Minnie’s Food Pantry and delivered to various sites throughout the district and made available for pick up. Parents with children attending PISD are encouraged to stop by and pick up the pre-packed boxes to ensure that no child goes hungry and that, although schools are closed, children are still receiving three healthy meals a day.

Please consider making a donation either to the North Texas Food Bank or to Minnie’s Food Pantry during this time of extreme need.
