Field Service Technician

Nicol Scales & Measurement, founded in 1931 and recognized as one of “The Best & Brightest” companies to work for in Dallas, is looking for a full-time Field Service Technician to join our growing team! Our Field Service Technician provides troubleshooting, repair solutions, as well as ISO 17025 calibrations on industrial scales and test equipment. Our team provides extensive training for all new employees. We encourage any candidates that possesses the right skill set or transferrable military experience to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customers with an explanation of services and quality documentation
  • Utilize problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve customer issues
  • Work in a variety of customer environment
  • Maintain productivity levels in accordance with company standards
  • Collect, compile, and input data to support calibration documentation
  • Effectively communicate with your supervisor, dispatch, and other team members
  • Occasional overtime and minimal overnight travel

 Our Ideal Applicant:

  • Veterans or ex-military personnel with experience in MOS Codes: 94H Test & Measurement, 91E Machinist Mate, 805A Electricians Mate, 94A Missile Tech, 12B Combat Engineer and 91F Weapons
  • Past service experience repairing or calibrating industrial equipment or scales
  • Demonstrable mechanical or electronic aptitude
  • Basic multi-meter functions, OHMS Law, AC/DC distribution
  • Current valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

 Position Requirements:

  • 2+ years of repair/service of industrial equipment/machinery/scales experience
  • Possess a valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to quickly attain one
  • Capable of lifting 50lbs with no physical limitations of your hands, back, or legs
  • Pass pre-employment, random and annual drug and background checks
  • Strong communication & customer service skills
  • Basic computer & math abilities
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and programming industrial equipment
