Our company was founded in 1931 and recognized as one of “The Best & Brightest” companies to work for in Dallas, is looking for a full-time In-House Depot Repair Technician to service and repair general industrial scales. Our Depot Repair team provides troubleshooting, repair and/or replacement solutions, as well as ISO 17025 calibrations on industrial scales. The Depot repair team calibrates and repairs all brands and models of weighing equipment received from all parts of the Country.
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and assist in quoting repairs or replacements of all Scales shipped in for service
• Provide ISO 17025 Calibrations
• Provide customers with an explanation of services and quality documentation
• Utilize problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve customer issues
• Maintain productivity levels in accordance with company standards
• Collect, compile, and input data to support calibration documentation
• Effectively communicate with customers status of repairs
• Offer new equipment replacements for non-repairable or non-cost-effective repairs
Our Ideal Applicant:
• Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating industrial scales, top load, or Lab Balances
• Familiar with industry brands: Fairbanks, Mettler Toledo, Ohaus, Rice Lake etc.
• Demonstrable mechanical or electronic aptitude
• Basic multi-meter functions, OHMS Law, AC/DC distribution
• Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and programming industrial equipment
• Performed job responsibilities within an ISO quality system
Position Requirements:
• High School Degree or GED
• 5+ years of repair/service of general industrial scales, top loading and/or Lab Balances
• Valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Capable of lifting 50lbs with no physical limitations of your hands, back, or legs
• Pass pre-employment, random and annual drug, and background checks
• Strong communication & customer service skills
• Basic computer & math abilities
