Texas Legal for Trade Scale Services
The State of Texas has changed the requirements for “legal for trade” scales, or scales that are used to buy or sell products off of. If you use your scale in a legal for trade application it must be calibrated and put into service by a licensed scale company, or you risk getting fined by the State of Texas. Nicol Scales & Measurement is fully compliant with the State of Texas’ requirements. If you buy scales off of the internet and do not have them put into service by a licensed scale company in the State of Texas you could also be fined for each violation. Nicol Scales & Measurement is a “Licensed Service and Inspection Company” in the State of Texas, and our Technicians are licensed by the State of Texas.
