Weighing Assemblies

The 9107 Omnicell features a double-ended shear beam design suitable for precision weighing of tanks, mixers and vessels in “sanitary” conditions. It is best suited for environments where contamination must be limited and controlled. The 9107 has a UBC Zone 4 rating and is also Factory Mutual approved for all classes, groups and divisions. This assembly has an all stainless steel construction with a passivated and electropolished mirror like finish. This Omnicell 9107 comes with 25 feet of Teflon® coated load cell cable.

RUGGED DESIGN

The Ultegra is made of a high-impact gray ABS composite material which makes it lightweight, yet extremely rugged.

The composite material is reinforced with molded structural ribs that provide up to 300 percent overload protection.

ACCURATE

The Ultegra is designed to control deflection, which significantly increases accuracy. Prior to shipping, the Ultegra is factory calibrated to an exact tolerance of 150 lbs x 0.05 lbs.

SIMPLE TO USE

The Ultegra is conveniently powered through a USB cable (AC adapter optional) that connects to any computer’s USB A port. Two-key operation (units and zero) allows users to simply select a unit of measure, place an object on the scale and read the display.

Loaded with features, Fairbanks Access Entry Station greets vehicles arriving at your site with a visible and audio prompt. The Access Entry Station quickly captures essential transaction information and sends it to the MatreX System – a centralized processing and database system providing real-time data for the operator. Accuracy Under Load

The secret to high precision in an industrial scale environment is not so simple: you need a scale design immune to metal fatigue, without mechanical deflection and the limitations of traditional strain gauge devices. Sartorius IS bases incorporate all these attributes and many more to produce resolutions up to 620,000 digital steps.

Using the weighing principal of electromagnet force compensation the limitations of 30,000 to 50,000 steps from traditional load cell designs are eliminated. The PR 6211 range of load cells is specially designed for weighing silos, tanks and process vessels. The unique design principle facilitates a particularly compact construction and, as a result, the unit can be used even in restricted space conditions. The FlexLock installation kits counterbalance movements arising from mechanical or thermal expansion or contraction of the vessel or its supporting construction.

A particular design characteristic of some models is the thin-film or “splutter” technology. This enables an operating temperature of up to 180°C to be reached. In addition, the small construction has integrated overload protection of 500kg.

Rice Lake offers cast iron weights and three (3) different designs of stainless steel weights. Due to varying configurations, the actual appearance of your product may be slightly different than shown on the catalog page. Serial numbers are available for an additional charge of $15.00 each when ordered without laboratory documentation. Individual leaf weights should be ordered with protective vial (individual leaf weights are for custom-designed kits).

CAST IRON WEIGHTS are painted weights with adjusting cavity for sealing. Weight capacities of 10kg/20lb and up meet NIST Handbook 105-1 & Handbook 44 specifications. Applications where cast iron weights are used include field standards for testing industrial devices. The classes are as follows: NIST Class F, ASTM Class 6 & 7 OIML Class M1 & M2.

STAINLESS STEEL WEIGHTS are available as Electronic Balance, Grip-Handle, Precision (screw-knob design) or OIML Precision (One-piece design).

ELECTRONIC BALANCE WEIGHTS are Type II design feature a sealing cavity for adjusting material in 100g or larger weights. The density is approximately 7.84g/cm3. Finish for Class 1 and OIML F1, F2 are polished. ASTM Class 2-4 are satin. NIST Class F weights are manufactured to the specifications of NIST HB-105-1. ASTM Class 0-7 are manufactured in accordance with ASTM E 617-97 specification and tolerances. Applications are as follows: calibrating Class I & II balances or ASTM Class 4, 5 and 6 weights.

PRECISION WEIGHTS (screw-knob design) are Type II design with sealing cavity for adjusting material. The density is approximately 7.95g/cm3. ASTM classes 1-4 have a polished finish. Applications include: calibrating Class I & II balances and ASTM Class 4, 5 and 6 weights, student laboratory use, and rough weighing operations: i.e., force.

PRECISION LABORATORY weights are a Type 1, one-piece construction with no added adjusting material. The density is approximately 7.95g/cm3. ASTM Class 0 and OIML E2, F1, F2 have a polished finish. OIML M1 and M2 have a satin finish.

ASTM Class 0 weight sets and individual weights are not individually marked with their weight value and cannot be individually serialized per ASTM E 617-97. ASTM Class 0, E2, F1, F2 and M1 weights include their own protective case.

OIML weights are manufactured to the specifications of the International Recommendation, OIML R 111, 1994 Edition. Applications include: weights used as standards, density measurement, and OIML guidelines.

ALUMINUM WEIGHTS are used for denominations of 5mg to 1mg OIML design.

Weights Sets:

Rice Lake offers several configurations for their weight sets. Class F weights have many set

configurations to assist in calibration of scales; higher accuracy sets are available in 5-2-2-1 and 5-3-2-1.

A standard set would be as follows:

• 5-2-2-1 – (1) 50g, (2) 20g, and (1) 10g
• 5-3-2-1 – (1) 50g, (1) 30g, (1) 20g, and (1) 10g
• Custom sets are available as build to order to meet your specific requirements.

Each weight set consists of the weights, case and/or small weight case (as appropriate), and appropriate lifting design consisting of one or more lifter, tweezers, and white cotton gloves. OIML and ASTM weights sets larger than 500g or 1lb include a hardwood case with velvet-lined pockets. Weight sets with the largest weight of 500g include a precision-machined polyvinyl, crush resistant case.

Serial numbers are not stamped on polished weights or milligram weights.

The correct class weight for applications is dependent on the use. Weights should be more accurate than the precision of the weighing device and it is recommended that a weight has an accuracy of one-third (1/3) of the weighing device readability.

Weights Kits:

All cylindrical ASTM kits (excluding grip handle weights) include their own protective case and glove set for safe handling.

Calibration Certificates:

Rice Lake offers several different calibration certificates including the Total Measure Assurance Program (TMAP) certificate.

RLWS MASS VALUE CERTIFICATE is not an accredited certificate. As found, as left data with environmental conditions are reported. SERIAL NUMBERS are included in the cost of all certificates with the exception of the Certificate of Accuracy. Certificates are included in the box with the weights at time of shipment. Replacement documentation is a fee of $50.00 plus shipping.

The 920i with USB shares the same hardware as the legendary 920i, but replaces the PS/2 interface port with a USB interface. Connector types include Standard Type A for hosting, connecting keyboards, printers and memory devices, and Standard Type B for connecting as a device to PCs.

Self-Contained, High-Capacity Digital Wheel Load Scales

The PT300Series of scales are designed to maximize legal payloads with concern for violations and reduction of maintenance due to overload stress on equipment.

Weighing a mere 37 lb/16.8 kg, the PT300 is a sturdy, all aluminum, fully electronic, self-contained wheel load scale that is capable of weighing loads up to 20,000 lbs with an accuracy of ±1%. The PT300DW weighs only 49 lb/22kg and is capable of weighing loads up to 40,000 lb/18,000 kg.

The scales are fully battery operated and only require infrequent recharging that can be accomplished by any 12, 110, or 220 volt power source. A charger adapter is provided.

The display area can be lighted for night use by merely touching the “LAMP” switch. It is possible to sequentially couple any number of PT300scales in series, for the purpose of obtaining the total weight of a vehicle. By activating the “TOTAL” switch, the total weight of all the preceding scales will be displayed. The scales are linked at the I/O terminal jack with an optional cable.
