This compact, easy-to-use force gauge is designed for basic and complex applications. The Chatillon® DFS II Series with integral or non-dedicated remote SLC carries all of the features of the DFS II in a package that provides the user with flexibility. The DFS II-R is available with a remote SLC that is dedicated to the unit offering the ability to test in locations where a fixed and integral load cell is impractical. NEXYGEN™ DF software expands the functionality of your CHATILLON® digital force gauge. This easy-to-use Windows® based package interfaces directly to your digital force gauge.

You can download peak load results from the gauge and display your results in tabular and graphical formats. Graphical results include markers denoting exact point positions. Results can be color coded for immediate pass/fail recognition. You can easily specify units of measure, fonts,
titles, force measurement resolution. The software provides basic force measurement tensile and compression test formats including pull to break, pull to limit, compress to rupture and compress to limit. The software also provides torque to break and torque to limit analysis when connected to a Chatillon torque gauge.

Results are presented in a spreadsheet format so you can analyze and manipulate data and perform common mathematical and statistical
calculations.

The software is easy to setup and features intelligent prompts, menus, combo boxes and other methods to get you up and running quickly and efficiently with minimal training. Navigation is simple using “drag & drop” and cut, copy and paste techniques. Data is easily exported to Microsoft® Word®, Excel®, Access®, Powerpoint® or Outlook®.

The CHATILLON® TCD1100 Series is an advanced force testing system optimized for production, quality control and engineering applications.

The TCD1100 System consists of a powerful, yet easy-to-use console; a rugged frame with a 1124 lbf (5kN) load capacity, and an intelligent load sensing system with measuring accuracies better than 0.1% full scale.

The TCD console features a high resolution color graphical display featuring menus, function and numeric keys and status indicators that assist the user in setup, operation and analysis. Information may be displayed in large-format tabular and graphical formats for easy viewing.

The frame employs an advanced closed-loop PID controller for precision travel (accuracy better than 0.25% unloaded), ideal for applications such as spring testing where exact distance control is required. The TCD System permits the user to measure heights based on a datum or absolute
position. Deflection compensation is standard. Standard test setups for load limits, distance limits, time limits, break tests, rupture tests, cycling and loop tests are included. No computer software is necessary.

If data management and analysis is required using a personal computer, you may connect your TCD System with our optional TCD
WEDGE application software. This lets you automatically transmit data to your personal computer in a Microsoft® Excel® format.

The Chatillon® LTCM-100 Series motorized tester, combined with a Chatillon gauge, is perfect for applications requiring an economical solution to tensile or compression testing. The LTCM-100 motorized test stand has a large workarea making it ideal for production environment or applications with large test samples. Crosshead movement is operator controlled using a switch that can be set to move the crosshead up or down at a specified speed. Speed is user-selectable. Positive braking and high and low limits are standard.

The Chatillon® LTCM-500 Series motorized tester, combined with a Chatillon gauge, is perfect for applications requiring an economical solution to tensile or compression testing up to 550 lbf (2500N).

A large working are and 5-inch (130mm) throat and long 29.5-inch (750mm) travel is ideal for tensile, compression, flexural, shear and peel testing. Tester includes mechanical and digital load limits that can be used to control crosshead movement, e.g. stop the crosshead when a load limit is achieved. An innovative T-Slot work surface ensures proper centerline alignment and fast fixture setup. An optional expanded work table is ideal for very large samples with diameters over 10-inches (250mm). Controls are simple and intuitive making it ideal for production environments. An optional footswitch can be used for “hands-free operation” and used to control crosshead movement. An optional splinter shield is also available.

Digital force gauges have a Hirose 12 connector. LTCM Series force testers have a 9-pin D-style connector.

The CHATILLON® MT500 Series mechanical test stand is an easy-to-use solution for force measurement applications up to 500 lbf (2.5kN) capacities. The test stand may be equipped with a quick-action lever or precision handwheel for controlling crosshead speed and travel. The MT500 test stand can be bench mounted, wall mounted or positioned horizontally. Vertical clearances are available from 750mm (29.5 inch) up to 1500mm (60 inch). Standard stroke is 6 inches (150mm), although longer strokes can be accommodated as a special order.

The MT500 Series features an innovative design that maximizes working space and simplifies operation and maintenance. The single column design with 150mm (6 in) throat is ideal for large specimens. The removable platen is designed to accommodate metric and imperial threaded fixtures. Special gauge adapter make gauge alignment automatic. Options include a digital travel indicator, capable of displaying travel up to 0.01mm (0.0005 inch) and column ruler which is graduated in millimeters and inches.

The MT500 Series includes hook, compression plate, adapters and gauge mounting hardware.

Queries

Queries are a new feature allowing data from multiple batches to be quickly analysed. Typical applications would be,

• Sorting test data eg by maximum force or part ID
• Filtering test data by part ID or to view all tests with a result above or below a certain value
• Combining archived batches to allow analysis of all data
• Reporting on multiple batches, eg. merging batches for a particular product. Separate batches may be made for tensile test, friction test and peeling test of a plastic film. Queries allows data from all 3 to be temporarily combined to allow a report to be made detailing the films properties.
• Automating Excel exporting for example only exporting values above or below a certain value. Or exporting results to separate worksheets for each unique part ID

Security and Audit Trails

The NEXYGENPlus security and audit trail module allows the supervisor to configure their system to enable compliance with the requirements of FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Restricting user access rights increases security and avoids costly errors.

Automation

NEXYGENPlus supports National Instruments data acquisition cards. This allows NEXYGENPlus to communicate with external equipment. Typical applications include,

• Control sample loading equipment
• Monitoring external signals such as temperature during the test. External signals can be plotted against force and measurements taken and recorded within Nexygen Plus
• Using multiple strain gauges to measure elongation of a sample
• Switch testing. Software can use voltage limits to control a test e.g. change direction once switch contact is made
• Control and monitoring of thermal chambers and furnaces.
• Integration into production lines for sharing of part number data and
  informing a production line if a bad part is found

The 1000 series, with its fast 1000 Hz update rate, is able to capture the highest force peaks. With variable display update rate superior accuracy as the FGV-XY series, these gauges feature unique 180 degree flip displays, permitting the user to read the display right-side up. Additional enhancements are; dual direction keypad, selectable force direction indication, and selectable power on/off settings.

Designed to ergonomically fit in the palm of your hand, the rugged, all metal construction of the FGE-X permit accurate measurement and display of compression and tension forces up to 100 pounds. (up to 1,000 lbs using the FGV-1000HX)

The microprocessor-controlled, digital FGV-HX and FGE-HX series offers the same user-friendly features of our popular FGV-X and FGE-X series, but in an extremely heavy-duty case, allowing the gauges to handle larger capacities from 200 to 1,000 pounds. Shown with two removable “knurled” steel handles are provided for hand operation and a hanger is included which enables each gauge to be used as a scale.

The FGV-HX series includes all FGE-HX features plus RS232C output, RS-232C cable, (analog cable is extra) analog outputs and an overload output signal. One year warranty.

Incredibly durable and user-friendly, our economical mechanical gauges are excellent for repetitive testing in assembly line or quality control lab applications. The peak mode features an easy push-button reset; this is especially helpful for doing repetitive testing in an assembly line or quality control lab. The real time mode allows you to see force changes as they occur. Ergonomically designed for hand-held use, both gauges may be used with the optional handle (great for loads over 15 pounds). Response time is immediate. Large, easy to read dial indicators are designed to reduce gauge parallax.
